Summer Wanderlust part 2

leave a comment

Quick camping get away to Waterton with friends. Our trip was cut short due to the increasingly annoying wind gusts that
made it incredibly hard to get any sleep inside a tent that wanted to collapse on our faces every 10 minutes. If it weren’t
for the lovely (and entertaining) company of Kirk, Valerie, Andrew and Amanda, I wouldn’t have made it. So, thank you all,
for being amazing, caring friends.

I love seeing people’s reactions when they see the beautiful scenery of Waterton

Kirk trying to hold my scarf on the windy hill of Prince Wales, Hotel

Everyone had their turn with the scarf

Late at night in one of the shelters cooking dinner away from the wind

The next morning, in our best camping fashion.
Valerie and Amanda dared to dip their feet in the ice-cold water in the lake

In Waterton taking in the beautiful scenery

Prince of Wales hotel sits atop a small hill surrounded by water, mountains and immense skies

Iryna took a few pictures of us together which is a rare sighting on my blog given that I’m always behind the lens

Perfect lighting!

I love seeing small quirky details

Lovely candy shop

Playing meta-photographer

On our way back, Iryna having fun in the back seat

A moose jumped out from the bush and we had to stop abruptly. Luckily we weren’t going too fast, otherwise it would’ve been a closer encounter

The beautiful landscape on the way back home

We saw hundreds and hundreds of wind turbines. they have forever changed the landscape.

Breakfast at a lovely old barn in Turner Valley

A cute restaurant’s side decoration, Black Diamond

Iryna playing with one of my cameras

Found a huge thrift store full of old things

Hotel in Longview, AB

Longview was one of my favourite small towns on this trip, their stores were incredibly quirky

Iryna and I waiting outside of the largest beef jerky store. The smell was a bit much.

On the road to Waterton, AB.
