27 YEARS

The day I turned 27 I walked through golden fields smelling fresh herbs from a garden picked by farmers, I heard the rustle of dead leaves swept by early september winds, I tasted some of the best garlic cloves I’ve ever had, listened to messages being shouted by performers at Nuit Blanche and sat amongst friends in a chilly night looking at lights and people and silence.

SUMMER WANDERLUST, PART 2

Quick camping get away to Waterton with friends. Our trip was cut short due to the increasingly annoying wind gusts that made it incredibly hard to get any sleep inside a tent that wanted to collapse on our faces every 10 minutes. If it weren’t for the lovely (and entertaining) company of Kirk, Valerie, Andrew and Amanda, I wouldn’t have made it. So, thank you all, for being amazing, caring friends.

SUMMER WANDERLUST, PART 1

The summer had an early start with many places on a list to visit, things to do, roads to drive and people to meet. The last two weeks have been a wild experience, to say the least.

FILM LOVE.

This is the first time I try shooting with a film camera since the early 1990′s. My first ever camera was a film camera and I loved it to bits but sometimes I was disappointed for not getting the results I wanted and it was soon forgotten.

I can now remember the thrill of developing a roll and having that tingly feeling of anticipation and surprise of seeing images you never got to review. That feeling alone made me want to try film again.

These were all taken with a Canon AE-1 using cheap fujifilm ASA 400.
